Sunscreen

Slather it on over and over again. This is the message now we’re getting from editors and medical professionals. Consumer Reports just tested multiple sunscreen products for UVA and UVB protection. The penetration of UVA rays of the sun to the cellular layer below the skin is the most damaging. Plus, there has been a lot of mislabeling on packaging of sunscreens. Claims of being “waterproof”, “water resistant” and “sweat proof” are all false. NO sunscreen can make these claims. Consumer Reports found 9 sunscreens excellent. The biggest advice, reapply every two hours and wait BEFORE you jump back in the pool for it to soak into the skin. Enjoy your summer!
