MOKSHA
Moksha means rebirth or nirvana if you will. I experienced the culinary version when I dined at Roswell’s newest treasure Moksha Indian cuisine. The restaurant is tucked away in the old Lickskillet Farm house at 1380 Old Roswell Road. (The bridge is finally opened so you can access it easily now.) Hundred year old oak trees cover the property.

The cuisine is absolutely delightful. I have never had indian food like this. So fresh and the best quality from the start produce a tapestry of textures and flavors for your palate that will have you saying OMG! I started with their homemade indian tea–slightly spicy with fresh ginger. Totally refreshing and look how they tie off the straw wrapper!

Once I put my fork in the apps the picture taking was over! I put down my camera and continued the bliss. I highly suggest the Jinga Manchurian–crisp shrimp in a hot cilantro garlic sauce that was sooo good I ordered a second plate! It is FANTASTIC!! Then tasted the Murgh Malai-Chicken kabob grilled and marinated in traditional northern indian spices. Just perfect. I had my buddy Aiden order for me and I don’t know what I ate except I ate it all including the Chicken Tikka Marsala-grilled chicken in a creamy, buttery tomato sauce. Give me a straw to get last drop!! My buddy Jerry had em amp up the spices and brought out extra peppers–OUCH! Jerry ate 5 of em and only glistened. I however ate 1 bite and was damp ALL over!! Outside the view is just as pleasing.

Moksha is perfect for events and private parties, even weddings. The large outdoor covered
event center overlooks a forrest of beautiful trees and winding river. If you’ve ever been to Nan in midtown and had their thai, then you’ll love the experience at Moksha. I looked up indian food in the dictionairy and it reads “…moksha, 1380 Old Roswell Road, 30076…” Visit them online: www.MokshaAtl.com
